A Pokemon World-The Invitation

The Invitation 2nd part of A Pokemon World

“Riley! Get up! Riley!” Garrison was shaking Riley’s bed. Riley’s school had just been let out for summer, and he didn’t enjoy waking up early.

He reluctantly sat up and groaned. He scratched his side with one of his razor sharp claws.

“Will you teach me how to use icy wind?” Garrison was jumping up and down beside Riley’s bed. The shaking from the jumps caused the icicle plate on the bedside table to fall over. It shattered as soon as it hit the ground.

Riley quickly sat up and looked angrily down at the broken pieces on the ground. “Sure!” He shouted angrily. He opened his mouth and loosed a viscously cold icy wind attack. Garrison ran out of his room crying.

Riley began picking up the broken pieces of his plate. It had been an antique that his dad bought him for his fifteenth birthday when he finally learned icy wind. Riley enjoyed participating in battles and the icicle plate would power up the icy wind attack, along with any other ice-type attack.

While trying to piece it back together, and hopefully fix it, he knocked a picture from the table. It was a picture of his family before they were turned into pokémon. Riley was blowing out the candles on his seventh birthday cake. His parents were standing over him, and Garrison was sitting in a booster seat next to him. Tears welled up in Riley’s eyes when he picked it up to look at it.

His mom walked into his room. His back was to her so she couldn’t see him crying over the picture.

“Riley, why did you attack your brother?” When she had to discipline Garrison, she would use confusion so he couldn’t run away. This wouldn’t work on Riley because he was a dark type.

He didn’t answer. He didn’t even bother to look up from where he was.

His mom walked over and noticed the picture. She sat down.

“Honey, what’s wrong?” She asked, Riley looked up with his drenched face.

“I want things to go back to the way they were.” He sobbed

She put her hand on his head. “You know we can’t do that, we just have to adapt to this. Now please, what happened with Garrison?”

Riley sighed and wiped the tears from his eyes. He put the picture back on the table. “He came in here shouting that he wanted to learn icy wind.” He picked up a piece of the plate. “He was jumping up and down and knocked this off and broke it.”

His mom stood up, took the pieces, and sighed. “I’ll see if your father can fix this later.” She walked out.

Riley stood up and sat on his bed. He reached for the remote and turned the television on.

He turned the channel to the news. Electivire and Sandra, a Mr. Mime, were talking about a nearby peace walk. Riley always laughed when he thought about how a woman could be a Mr. Mime.

He waited until they said the weather, and then went downstairs. Garrison was eating some frozen waffles, he seemed like he had gotten over the attack.

Riley’s dad was trying to piece together the shards with strong glue. Riley walked to the refrigerator and pulled out several strips of frozen grumpig bacon. He didn’t like hot things, so he ate it raw.

Riley quickly finished his bacon and walked outside. He walked down to where his girlfriend, Lauren, lived. He knocked on the door. It swung open to show a vaporeon with a rope in her mouth.

“Hello Riley! Are you here to see Lauren?” She said

“Yes Mrs. Walker.” He said

She pulled on the rope to make the door open wider. Riley stepped in. He smiled as he looked down at Mrs. Walker.

“Lauren, Riley is here for you.” She called. She shut the door then ran upstairs. Lauren then walked down with a purse on her back.

“Hey Riley, where do you want to go?” She asked. She and Riley loved each other very much.

“I was thinking that we could go to Raichu’s Deli.” He said. Raichu was a pokémon before the disaster. She ran a popular sandwich shop.

“Sounds great!” She exclaimed.

They went outside and walked to Riley’s car. The cars that fit humans were all made useless, so they reformatted them to fit pokémon.

When they entered, Lauren pressed a button with her paw to strap a seatbelt around her.




They finished their meal and went up to pay.

“That will be twelve fifty-three.” Raichu said. Not only did she own the restaurant, she worked there.

Riley put the money on the table. “Thank you, have a nice day.”

They walked out. They saw Lucario walking out of the game shop. When he noticed them he ran over.

“Hey Riley, Lauren, what’s up?” He asked. He had a bag is his hand.

“Nothing much, we just finished lunch.” Riley said.

“I just got Eyewing 3 (if you are wondering, this is a fake game). I am going to play it on my way to Andrew’s house.” He said, he was caught as a riolu by a young boy named Andrew. Andrew was a trainer and had become a mightyena. The mightyena that he became was his family’s pet before the explosion. He and Mightyena never got along too well. Fortunately, Mightyena moved away just as Lucario had.

“Awesome, have fun!” Riley said. He had met Andrew before and he liked him.

“Actually, I have two extra tickets and I was hoping you two could come. It will be for about a month.” He offered. It was an hour long flight to where Andrew lived, and He lived in a busy city.

“I would love to go, but I would have to ask my parents. I am sure they wouldn’t mind.” Lauren said, though she wouldn’t have gone if Riley couldn’t go.

“I’ll have to ask too, but I can probably go.” Riley explained.

“Great! I need to know by Tuesday.” Lucario said. He walked off to his van and drove off.
